Funny story - it rained and then froze over today and I basically slid home from work. The end. So, I'm not feeling as though I'm in the brightest of Springtime moods. Spring has not yet sprung in real life but apparently in the world of beauty it has. New from Mary Kay is their Light, Reinvented Collection, which features bright, fresh colours for Spring and Summer.
Mary Kay's seasonal collections typically feature a myriad of pretty polishes. This season, they've released four new Nail Lacquers - Brilliant Violet, Luminous Mauve, Vivid Sunburst and New Blue ($10 each).
I've reviewed a number of Mary Kay Nail Lacquers in the past and they're consistently great. Most shades are opaque in 2 coats or less. The polish is fairly thin and quick drying. And paired with a solid top coat they can last for 4-5 days on my finicky nails.
The Mary Kay Nail Lacquer in Brilliant Violet is a medium warm fuchsia purple.
The Mary Kay Nail Lacquer in Luminous Mauve is a pastel lilac with a slight warmth - my favourite from this particular collection.
The Mary Kay Nail Lacquer in New Blue is a pastel turquoise.
The Mary Kay Nail Lacquer in Vivid Sunburst is a warm orange.
All together, the Light, Reinvented Mary Kay Nail Lacquers for Spring 2017 scream warm weather, sunshine and flowers. I love the colours but I hate that it isn't Spring yet. Such a tease.
