NOTD - Wishing I was in Turquoise and Caicos

If there's one thing that sucks about working, it's the lack of break. Break as in Reading Week/March Break/Spring Break. One week to relax, sleep, chill, lounge around, go somewhere warm, or party until the sun goes down... It's like a very distant dream. I'm missing that. It's one of the lovely perks of being on a co-op term... and all my co-op terms happen to be January to May. 

Essie Turqoise and Caicos embodies that vacation feeling. If I was going somewhere in the Caribbean, this is most definitely the colour I would wear. It's the colour of the ocean and fun in the sun. It's dancing in the rain. and it's a party all night until the sun rises. 




My Dad told me this looked too bright/unprofessional to wear to work. I ignored that and wore it until it started chipping. I stare at it whenever I wish I could be somewhere else. (I'm a little crazy, starring at my nails and all...)

... Then again. Work = Job Experience = $$ ... and $$ = can afford vacation. So I guess it's not so bad.  I'll just have to wait a little till I go on that vacation to Turks and Caicos.

What's your ultimate vacation/resort polish? Or do you prefer a stay-cation?

  5. Beautiful color! And don't worry I stare at my nails sometimes too especially if it is a really deep color. I almost feel like I'm staring into outer space XD

  8. I have color that's just like this that's a little cheaper. It's Loreal's club prive. :) It's a tiny bit brighter, but I love it for summer! (Confession: I wear it sometimes during the other seasons too. :) )

  19. I am a stay-cation kinda gal. I like this polish, very pretty. Depending on where you work I could see it as being a little much - like a doctor or something along those lines, but if you are like me and work in an office with little to no face to face client contact then why not?

    1. haha stay cations are always fun :P ... I work in a client/service based industry (accounting) so... colour is probably a nono .. oh wel :P

  20. I like pastel shades when it comes to nail polishes. I think they suit my asian skin tone best. For work I just apply top coat on clean nails or sometimes do the French manicure. :)
